Day 1 : Pickup From Dehradun and drive to Sankri

ankri is located at an altitude of 1,920 meters (6,400 feet). The 220 km drive from Dehradun to Sankri takes about 10 hours. Trekkers will be picked up at 6:30 AM from Hotel Garand, near Dehradun Railway Station, in vehicles like Bolero (6-7 seaters), Innova (7 seaters), Tempo Travellers (12 seaters), or a bus. Arrival in Sankri is expected by 5:00 PM. Jio and BSNL networks are available. The night will be spent in a guest house or hotel.

Today, we’ll ascend from 6,400 feet to 9,100 feet. The 4 km trek takes about 2.5 hours, winding through maple and oak forests, scenic water streams, and beautiful meadows. Overnight stay will be in twin-sharing tents.

Today, we’ll trek from 9,100 feet to 11,250 feet. The 4 km trek takes about 2.5 hours, mostly along a ridge beneath beautiful oak trees. You’ll pass by pastures with shepherds’ log huts. Overnight stay will be in twin-sharing tents, offering stunning views of nature.

We’ll wake up early for the summit push, trekking 6 km over 7 hours. If we reach the summit on time, you’ll witness a stunning sunrise. After a delicious lunch at the base camp, we’ll begin our descent to Hargaon. We’ll arrive at our next campsite in Hargaon by snack time. Night stay will be in twin-sharing tents.

We’ll descend from Hargaon Camp (8,900 feet) to Sankri (6,400 feet), covering 6 km in about 4 hours through dense pine forests. After reaching Sankri, we’ll drive 220 km back to Dehradun, a journey of 8 to 10 hours, passing through stunning scenic landscapes along the way.
